4. Functional Cookies
These cookies remember your preferences to enhance your experience. They require your consent and can be disabled.
Functional cookies may store preferences such as sidebar state, last selected character, and notification settings.

5. Analytics Cookies
Contentpole does not currently use analytics cookies or third-party tracking tools. If we introduce analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and your explicit consent will be required before any analytics cookies are set. Analytics cookies will always be opt-in with a legal basis of Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
6. Third-Party Cookies
Our service providers set the following cookies as part of their services:
Stripe (Payment Processing)
When you visit the payment page, Stripe sets cookies for secure payment processing and fraud prevention. These cookies are only set during payment interactions.
Cookies: __stripe_sid, __stripe_mid
Duration: Session to 1 year · Legal Basis: Contract Performance · Can be disabled: No (essential for payments)

Google OAuth (Authentication)
If you sign in with Google, Google sets cookies to manage the authentication flow.

Supabase (Authentication)
Supabase manages session cookies for authentication as described in Section 3.

7. Local Storage & Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, we use the following browser technologies:
- Local Storage: To cache your preferences and improve performance (e.g., selected character, interface settings)
- Session Storage: For temporary data during your browsing session that is cleared when you close the tab
These technologies do not transmit data to external servers and are managed locally in your browser. Clearing your browser data will remove these items.
8. Cookie Retention Periods
- Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser
- Essential authentication (sb-access-token): 1 hour (auto-refreshed)
- Authentication refresh (sb-refresh-token): 7 days
- Functional preferences: 1 year
- Payment cookies (Stripe): Session to 1 year
- Consent records: 3 years (proof of compliance)
9. Withdrawing Consent
You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by:
- Clicking Cookie Settings in the footer of our website
- Adjusting your browser settings (see Section 10)
- Contacting us at privacy@contentpole.com
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using authenticated features.
10. Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings:

Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using authenticated features of Contentpole.
11. Do Not Track
Some browsers support "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. As Contentpole does not currently use analytics or marketing cookies, there is no tracking to disable. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this section and our Cookie Settings will allow you to manage tracking preferences regardless of your DNT setting.
12. International Data Transfers
Third-party cookies from Stripe and Google may transfer data to servers outside the EEA/UK. These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and adequacy decisions where applicable. For full details on data transfers, see our Privacy Policy.
13. ePrivacy Directive Compliance
For users in the EU/EEA, we comply with the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC as amended), which requires:
